Disclaimer: Some of these characters (Willow, Xander, Giles, Spike, Anya, Buffy, etc) are property of Joss Whedon, I don't own them, blah, blah, blah. The occasional demons come products my whacked out imagination. The other characters are people who have foolishly allowed me to use their name and manipulate them in my fic however I choose. Parts 8 through 11

The sun rose in Sunnydale, sending the creatures of the night back to their hiding places to wait out the day, until the next night when they would return and wreak havoc once again. But for now the people of Sunnydale were safe from the demons that lurked within it. (::giggles:: Man that was cheesy)

Bill's Motel

Josh slowly opened his eyes and rose to his feet, his back aching from a night sleep on the hard floor. Tiffany and Lisa were already up and ready to go.

"Next time one of you can sleep on the floor" he mumbled, stumbling into the bathroom for a shower.

Next door, Rachel, who was still asleep on the floor, felt a tickling sensation on her hand. She twitched and the tickling moved up her arm. She grudgingly opened her eyes… and screamed. There was a giant cockroach crawling up her arm. She quickly grabbed it and tossed it away from her. Quiller was just waking up from Rachel's scream when the bug landed right on her face. She shrieked and heaved it across the room, to the wall, where it landed and started scurrying about. Maggie, now awake and alert from all the commotion, saw this and rushed over, picking it up. Then, to the horror and disgust of Rachel and Quiller, Maggie put the whole thing in her mouth, chewed, and swallowed.

"Hmm… tastes like chicken," she said with a smile.

"Excuse me while I puke," Quiller said, looking awfully pale.

The door burst open and Lisa, Jordy, and Tiffany rushed into the room, armed with stakes.

"Where are they?" Lisa asked, alert and ready to fight.

"Oh, it was nothing," Maggie shrugged.

"Just a roach," Quiller added.

"Ew, where?" Jordy asked.

"It's currently being digested in Maggie's stomach," Rachel answered.

"Bigger ew," Tiffany said.

"Where're the others?" Quiller asked

"Josh is getting ready," Lisa replied.

"You should be doing the same. We're supposed to meet Giles this morning, remember?" Tiffany added

"What time is it?" Maggie asked.

Jordy looked at her watch. "8:17"

Rachel grumbled something, but got up anyway.

The walk to Giles's apartment was long and mostly uneventful…

"So, Quiller," Lisa said, "You okay? You look like death."

"Gee, thanks," Quiller replied.

Lisa smiled sweetly.

"All night Voyager marathon," Quiller said, by way of explanation.

Lisa shrugged. "That's what you get for rooming with them," Lisa joked, gesturing disdainfully at Rachel and Maggie.

"Hey!" They said in unison.

Lisa grinned.

Paige, who was standing right next to Maggie, didn't seem to notice any of this. Maggie saw her staring off into space and waved her hand in front of Paige's eyes. "Earth to Paige, come in Paige."

Paige snapped out of her daze and looked at Maggie. "Sorry. I was just… thinking." After saying this, Paige went back to whatever planet she was on at the moment.

Maggie shrugged. She figured Paige probably had a lot to think about.

A few minutes later they arrived at Giles' apartment.

Opening the door, Giles smiled. "Come in," he said. "There are a few people I want you to meet."

They all entered the apartment to see three strangers sitting around the room.

"Slayers," he said, "I'd like you to meet my assistants. Fiona, Sarah, and Mari."

*******************

"Nice to meet you," Mari said, holding out her hand to shake. Rachel shook it.

"You too," she replied. "I'm Rachel."

At that moment the door opened and Willow and Xander walked in.

"I see 'knocking' is a foreign concept to you two," Giles said with a sigh.

"What do you mean Giles? We practically live here now. It's like my home away from home," Xander replied.

Giles looked sick from the thought of this.

"I don't think we had a proper introduction last time," Willow said to the Slayers. "I'm-"

"You're Willow," Lisa interrupted.

"And you're Xander," Jordy nodded at him.

Xander looked surprised. "How'd you know? Wait! Don't tell me, that's one of your powers? You can read people's minds."

"Not quite," Josh said

"The PTB told us about you," Grace explained.

"PTB?" Willow asked

"Powers?" Sarah and Mari asked in unison, looking confused.

"What'd they tell you exactly?" Xander wondered, looking somewhat nervous.

"The Powers That Be," Quiller explained. "They told us you two had been helping… the last Slayer for years. And some other things. All of them good."

"Powers?" Sarah and Mari asked again, still in unison and still confused.

"What kind of powers?" Fiona asked.

"Well… I can freeze time," Grace answered. "And Rachel here can create fire."

Rachel nodded proudly.

"I can move things with my mind and, with some effort, change the shape, color, or texture of something," Lisa added.

"Josh communicates with the Powers That Be," Tiffany added "And I can-" she started, when the door burst open and a young girl stumbled into the apartment and fell to the floor, an arrow in her back.

"Stacy!"Fiona cried.

*******************

They all rushed to the door and crowded around Stacy. Fiona pulled her up into a sitting position, careful to steer clear of the arrow. Stacy's head fell forward. She was unconscious, but she was breathing.

Tears glistened in Fiona's eyes. "Stacy?" The arrow was just below her right shoulder. Fortunately missing the lungs and heart, but still a very dangerous place,

Tiffany dropped to her knees next to Fiona and examined the wound. "We have to push the arrow the rest of the way through," She said.

Fiona stared at her like she was insane. "What?!"

"You can't pull an arrow like this out without surgery" she explained.

"She could die!" Fiona cried.

"If we don't take it out now, she WILL die," Lisa said.

"Just trust us, please," Josh added.

Fiona sniffled and nodded, giving them her consent.

Tiffany broke off the back part of the arrow and looked at Lisa. Lisa held out her hand, palm facing the back of the arrow. She looked away and used her power to push the arrow through, as quickly and painlessly as possible.

Jordy picked up the arrow and carefully examined the tip. "It doesn't seem to be poisoned," She said

Mari, Fiona, and Sarah had just been told about Lisa's power, but they still stared, unable to believe what they had just seen. They were even more surprised by what happened next.

Tiffany placed both hands over the wound and concentrated. A white light emanated from her hand. The light grew bright and then disappeared. The next second she pulled them away and the wound was gone.

"What the hellmouth…?" Sarah trailed off.

*******************

Stacy's head moved and she moaned. The Slayers backed away and gave Stacy some space. She slowly opened her eyes and looked around the room.

"You okay?" Mari asked.

"I think so…" Stacy answered groggily. "What happened?"

"I don't know… you just burst in here with an arrow in your back," Sarah replied.

Stacy's eyes widened. She instinctively felt for the arrow, but found nothing.

"Oh yeah… um… I can heal people," Tiffany mumbled.

"Thank you," Fiona said quietly.

Tiffany shrugged, uncomfortable with everybody staring at her.

"What DID happen to you?" Grace asked, changing the subject.

"I… I don't remember much… it's all kinda blurry," Stacy said, shaking her head, trying to clear it of the foggy mess it was in right now.

"You should probably get some rest, we'll talk about it when you're feeling better," Mari offered.

"You can use the guest room, of course," Giles added.

Josh and Rachel helped her up.

"By the way… who are you people?" Stacy asked as Rachel and Josh helped her down the hall.

"So, I believe we were discussing powers…" Sarah said, turning to the remaining Slayers, waiting for them to continue.

Everybody was still a bit shaken from what they had seen with Stacy so nobody spoke right away.

Sarah sighed. "I don't mean to sound insensitive but… Stacy's gonna be fine and we came here to talk, so talk!"

Mari smiled at the typical Sarah statement.

"So what do you do?" Sarah asked, pointing at Maggie.

"Me?"

Sarah nodded.

"My voice. When I sing. It, uh, puts demons into a trance," she said, and then pulled out a cricket and ate it. Sarah had already turned away, raising her eyes at Quiller. Everybody else had done the same. Mari was the only one who saw Maggie eat the cricket. She stared in wonder, a little grossed out. Rachel and Josh walked back into the room to see the look on Mari's face. They smiled and suppressed their laughter.

"Quiller?" Sarah asked. Giles had told Sarah, Mari, and Fiona the names and brief descriptions of every Slayer.

"My power's kind of hard to explain…" Quiller said. She spotted a thick research book and picked it up. "Here, give me the
name of a demon in this book."

"Huh?" Sarah looked confused.

"Just do it," Quiller replied.

"Uh…" Sarah looked at Giles.

"Anderin," Giles offered, also confused.

Quiller opened the front cover of the book and placed her hand a few inches above the pages. She closed her eyes and an orangish glow appeared. The pages fluttered beneath her hand. After a moment, they stopped and fluttered backward a few pages. The glow disappeared and she handed the book to Sarah, without looking at it.

"Anderin, harmless fairy demon. Feeds on berries and flowers." Quiller quoted.

"That's… exactly what it says," Sarah said, surprised.

"So you can read books that fast?" Mari asked, amazed.

"Not really," Quiller answered. I scan for certain key words or phrases. Then I can remember a bit of the text surrounding it."
"Like a computer!" Willow exclaimed.

"Sorta," Quiller said with a smile.

"Wish I had that power," Xander grumbled. "Could've come in handy in my hours of Scooby research."

"So… anybody up for some breakfast? I'm starving," Grace asked.

"Wait a second, what do you do?" Sarah asked, pointing to Jordy.

The Slayers shifted their feet uncomfortably and looked everywhere around the room except at Sarah or Jordy.

Sarah noticed their silence "What?" she asked.
