AUTHOR'S NOTES: I'm brilliant, so read it and be amazed!
"Whoa, this place is fabulous!" Maggie exclaimed as they stepped
out of the car.
"I could stay here." Aisling said nodding. The manor
was huge, it looked half like Barbie's dream house, and half like a haunted house
from a horror flick. It was huge with balconies and windows jutting out all over
the place in beautiful patterns, it was made out of dark stones, with ivy growing
majestically along them.
Just then they heard an engine behind them, Josh
and Dani, Josh had barely stopped the car before Dani hopped out.
"My
God, please tell me we are living here!" She cried.
"Nice digs."
Josh said slowly slipping out from behind the wheel. "I always wanted to live
here when I was little."
"Huh, what?" Dani said stopping her
rant at how great the place was.
"I used to live in Sunnydale."
Josh said putting his hands in his pockets. "That was before I recruited for
our school, then I ran away from home, haven't been back till now."
"I
hear that." Maggie said nodding. "I left my Mah as soon as I could pack
my bag."
They would have all talked more, but the others began to show
up and they were all caught in a rush of unpacking, they were lead to their rooms
by Tiffany, Amanda, and Lisa. (They each got their own) And they got to briefly meet
the other students who shared the school with The three other girls. There was Jordy,
Kelly, Traci, Janet, Saphire, Mari, and a very weird girl rocking back and forth
in a chair in a corner.
"Who's that?" Ais asked Amanda pointing
at the girl.
"Oh, that's Heather Clair, she's crazy." She said shaking
her head. "But that's enough introductions and formal stuff, Sire Banks isn't
going to be here for a few more days, he's left a simple task; to try and destroy
the Slayer."
Each and every one of them gasped; he wanted them to destroy
the Slayer! It was beyond belief!
"But we don't need to start that till
tomorrow, tonight, I think we need to party!" Amanda cried, and was followed
by a chorus of whoops and hollers, the only ones who didn't seem happy with the idea
was Aisling, Lisa, and Josh. (He was always cool so it didn't mean anything)
So
half hour later they were all dressed (minus the girls they had just met at the house,
they were not at as high an and inside of the hottest spot in Sunnydale, The Bronze.
But according to Tiffany, they were not in the actual Bronze, it was being fumigated,
and so business had been moved to a huge warehouse until it was back in action. But
the temporary Bronze was a pretty sweet place to Aisling anyway, people packed the
dance floor, there wasn't an empty seat anywhere. The decor was very cheap and last
minute; crepe paper weaved through the pipes that were exposed in the ceiling, posters
from Walmart and left over Halloween, Valentines, and Christmas decorations covered
the walls, but even though it was a pretty pathetic sight, it added a bit of a festive
feel to the place that gave everyone an urge to party.
"Let's get a table!"
Tiffany yelled over the music.
"But there's no room!" Mel yelled
back.
"We're evil, we make room!" Tiffany yelled again smiling.
She then opened her purse and Ricky the Ferret poked his head out, Tiffany stroked
his head and muttered something, he almost seemed to nod as he hopped out of her
purse and ran across the floor. (Even though Aisling was evil, she couldn't help
but think how cute the little ferret was as he hopped across the floor) He climbed
up the leg of a girl sitting at a large table. As soon as she saw what was on her,
screamed and jumped to her feet, Ricky hopped onto the table, and it's other occupants
leapt away screaming "Rat!"
"Good boy." Tiffany said as
the group of evil teens sat down and she put the ferret back into her purse. "I'm
going to feed you Jordy's hedgehog when we get home."
Time passed by
quickly, they danced, talked, joked, laughed, and every guy in the place was throwing
themselves at Rachel. (Part of the fun in being a She-Mantis) In fact, they were
throwing themselves at all of the evil students, the whole group was gorgeous.
Evil
was always attractive, why else would people keep being seduced by it. Aisling knew
this, and as she passed a mirror hanging on the wall, she smiled wickedly into it.
"Being
bad has never looked this good." Aisling said blowing a kiss at herself from
her cranberry covered lips.
"Awful high opinion of yourself, huh Ais?"
Dani asked stepping up behind her and fluffing her hair and reapplying lipstick.
"I
learned from the best Dani dear." Aisling said winking Dani just laughed.
"You
sure did!" Dani said shaking her head smiling, then she looked Aisling in the
eye. "Hey, you think I do double trouble?" She asked, she held her amulet
and then in the blink of an eye there were two of Dani standing before Aisling.
"Dani!"
She cried at the two girls. "You can't do that here!"
"Alright
fine." The two Dani's said pouting, the one on the right touched her amulet
again, and then there was only one Dani
again, who walked away, still pouting.
Aisling
waas walking back to her table when she got her first sight of the Slayer.
Yes,
the Slayer. She saw her on the dance floor, she was shorter then Aisling had expected
from seeing the surveillence photo's. But she still radiated that aura of good that
clashed so heavily with the aura of evil Ais and her group projected that Aisling
could feel the tension in the air all the way across the club.
"Ais,
what is it?" Rachel asked coming up behind her, leaving a drooling boy standing
staring after her.
"It's the Slayer." Aisling said nodding towards
the blonde girl dancing. Rachel followed her eyes and gasped.
"It is
her!" She cried. "Wow! she's shorter then I thought a force of good would
be."
Aisling nodded, and headed back to their table. She watched as
the Slayer danced with a dark haired boy, and a redhead. She regconized the two of
them from photo's as well, the redhead was a witch, and the boy, well, he was just
a human. When she got to their table with Rachel, everyone was there minus Mel and
Stacy, who were dancing out on the floor with two human boys. And Fiona, who Aisling
couldn't find for the life of her.
"Hey guy's guess what!" Rachel
said excitedly as she sat down.
"What?" Amanda said, she was setting
napkins on fire with her mind.
"The Slayers here!" Rachel cried.
Lisa spit out her drink, Josh lifted an eyebrow, but the worst thing was what Amanda
did, she was so surprised that as she was releashing her pyrokinesis, that instead
of coming out in a controled stream onto the napkin, it came out in a strong stream,
it caught the table on fire, and the crepe paper hanging from the pipes. They all
jumped out of their seats.
"Oh God." Amanda said as the fire quickly
spread. "Lisa, put it out!"
"No, I don't use my powers in public."
Lisa said folding her arms over her chest, as people around them saw the fire and
began screaming and rushing for the exits.
"Well then let's get the
heck out of here!" Maggie cried and the whole group joined the rush out of the
doors, the fire was already spread through out the building, it was out of control.
They
got of the building alright, coughing a bit because of the smoke, it seemed that
everyone of the humans had gotten out of the building alright, the Slayer too. Aisling
noted grimly. It was then that she heard Elisabeth cry.
"Hey, where's
Mel and Stacy!"
"And Fiona, anyone see Fiona!" Quiller cried
as well.
"Oh god, what if their still inside!" Maggie said scanning
the crowd, as did Aisling, the three girls were no where to be seen.
"My
God." Aisling said staring at the inferno in front of them. Stacy, Mel and Fiona
were without a doubt, still inside. And Aisling doubted there was anyway for them
to get out alive...
